How to Pick Up a Girl: Rapport Techniques

June 22nd, 2008 by deliafarhan

By Vince Runza Many guys want to know how to build rapport in seduction. If you’re looking for a natural way to do this in your conversation, do what you do with your friends. You already have rapport with them (that’s why you’re friends), so there are certain things you do (and don’t do) when you’re talking together. Verbal rapport assumption makes use of a simple idea: talk the way you do with those who are already your friends. You don’t ask them for information about themselves and you don’t offer information about yourself. You’ve already gotten to know each other, so the conversation isn’t stuck at the getting-to-know-you level. It’s a deceptively simple way to get in under her radar. Instead of playing 20 Questions with her (What do you do for a living, etc.) or pester her with 20 Answers about yourself that she never asked about, you take a different track. Simply make some situational observations and pace the ongoing situation until she starts asking you questions or opening up. After all, that’s what we do with our friends. We don’t re-tell the story of our lives, or re-ask questions we already know the answers to. We talk about what’s around us, the current situation we’re in. We comment about movies or TV. We bust on each other. Learn to take that approach with a new woman and watch her warm up to you like a friend. The lesson to be learned here is that using your own willpower and taking the right action at the right time beats learning some seduction method you really can’t use in your own life right now. You don’t need a “guru” to teach you. You just need the right information and skills you honed yourself. Theres a ton of information on seduction online. Some of its good, most of its a waste of your time. If you really want to know how to pick up a girl, follow the lead of a guy whos been an active leader in the Seduction Community since 1999, and knows how to pick up a beautiful woman. Fishing Rods - What Type Do I Need?

June 19th, 2008 by deliafarhan

By Trevor Kugler Choosing the correct fishing rod for your favorite fishing situations can be a fairly difficult task. There are all kinds of things written on the fishing rod itself, and all of them have a different “feel”. I’m going to attempt to clear up some of the confusion for you. I’ve seen many anglers that have one fishing rod that they use for all of their fishing. This is a mistake and a sure fire sign that said angler doesn’t catch many fish. I’m not suggesting that you should have a locker full of 50 different rods, but you should have two or three available for different situations. The type of fishing rod that you need really has to do with the kind and size of fish that you’re fishing for. If you’re fishing for Crappie, you need a different rod than when you fish for Steelhead. Fishing rods come is the basic actions listed below. This information is printed (in very small lettering) on the rod itself, directly above the handle, along with suggestions as to lure and line sizes. The bottom line is that you must have different fishing rods for different fishing situations. In most cases the same fishing rod should not be used in all fishing situations. Ultra light Action - these rods are used for fishing very small lures. Ultra light rods are perfect for small stream and river fishing, such as when you’re wading. The heavier the current, the longer rod you will want. Ultra light rods are a great choice for trout and pan fish. Light Action - Light action rods are used for the same situations as ultra light action rods. If you’re just starting out, start with a light action rod and work your way to ultra light. Again, these rods are perfect for trout and pan fish fishing. Medium Action - Medium action rods are right in the middle of the scale (imagine that). Medium action rods are to be used when fishing larger rivers for larger fish. I personally use medium action rods for my walleye and smallmouth bass fishing in Canada. Medium action is also a good size for trolling smaller lures. Medium Heavy Action - This size rod is great for trolling most lures. Medium heavy rods are also great for most salmon and steelhead fishing. As the name suggests, these rods are to be used in situations where you’re after bigger fish (10 to 20 pounds as a general example), although it’s also a favorite size for large mouth bass anglers. Heavy Action - Obviously, these are your big boys. Largemouth bass fishermen will use rods this size to fish heavy cover and the like. Also, when you’re fishing for big pike and catfish, heavy action rods are a must. These rods are used for really big fish (over 20 pounds as a general example). This action rod is also used for heavy trolling, such as that done with downriggers. As mentioned earlier, the bottom line is that the same fishing rod shouldn’t be used for all of your fishing. That is of course supposing that you don’t fish the same body of water for the same type of fish all the time. If you do only fish one body of water for a single type of fish, then 1 fishing rod will probably work just fine for you. An example would be myself. I’m primarily fish for trout in the same river and prefer to use ultra light gear. One rod doesn’t cut it for me. I have to have two, because I’ve found that when the water is high, I need a longer rod. So I simply switch to my six foot six inch rod when the water is high (such as in the spring). The point being that in my case although I primarily fish the same body of water for the same type of fish, I still need a choice of fishing rods. Carpet Stain Removers - How To Use Them

June 15th, 2008 by deliafarhan

By Steven Gillman Out of all the carpet stain removers available, water is the one to try first. Almost all the others can damage your carpet. Many are caustic, like bleach, and will remove the dye from the carpet if not used properly. Also, they generally don’t become inert, meaning they continue to damage your carpet over time if not rinsed out completely. Try water first. When Water Won’t Remove Carpet Stains Many commercial carpet stain removers work well. Some, however, are formulated for particular types of stains, so read the lable. Some also work better or worse on particular types of carpet, so pre-test the product in an inconspicuous area. To pre-test a product, apply several drops of the solvent to your carpet, then press a white cotton cloth on the area for about fifteen seconds. Examine the cloth and the carpet. If there is color transfer from the carpet on the cloth, or color changes or other damage to the carpet, try a different stain remover. To clean a spill or carpet stain, apply the cleaning agent to a white cotton cloth. Work it into the spot gently, from the outside towards the center, so you won’t spread the spot, and don’t rub too hard. Blot up the stain after a few minutes, and re-apply the solvent. If you have a shop-vac, it will work better than blotting. Repeat the process until you no longer get a transfer of the stain to the cloth. If this doesn’t remove all of the spot, you can try other carpet stain removers. Once you remove as much of the stain as you can, rinse the area with cold water. Use your shop-vac or blot up the water with a clean cloth. Repeat this until all of the stain remover is out. Use a stack of plain white paper towels with a weight on them to soak up the last of the water. A fan will also help speed up the drying time. Fast drying is important. It prevents any remaining stain that is deep down in the carpet from wicking up to the surface. A Cheap Carpet Stain Remover Dawn dishwashing detergent makes a decent carpet stain remover. Use a few drops in a cup of water. It especially works well on greasy stains (maybe a teaspoonful to a cup of water). Use the original blue Dawn, and just follow the process outlined above. How Payday Loans Measure Up To Other Financial Tools.

June 7th, 2008 by deliafarhan

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Mike_Freudenberg]Mike Freudenberg Payday loans can be a very beneficial financial tool when compared to… your bank. That’s right! Your bank’s NSF policies work against you and can cause you to actually spend more money in fees than a traditional payday loan charges in finance charges. “How can this be?”, you might ask. Well the best way to explain this is by example. Consider the following example. To keep it simple, we will use nice round numbers. Consider you have $100 in your checking account but you wrote four $100 checks to four different merchants. Your bank charges a $30 fee for each NSF. The merchants charge an additional $25 for each bounced check. In this scenario, if all the checks are presented to the bank, one check will be paid and three checks will bounce NSF. You will incur bank charges of $90 ($30 X 3) plus the merchants will charge you $75 ($25 X 3) for a total of $165 in NSF fees on $300 of bounced checks. This number can easily compound if any of the merchants re-submit the checks to your bank. The $165 in fees could easily double or triple to an incredible $495 in NSF fees! If you think this is excessive, then read on. There is another option. Now, if you had applied for a $300 payday loan to cover the three $100 checks you wrote, your finance charge would typically have been $45. Even if you have to roll over the cash advance another pay period, you still would be in a better financial situation then if you solely relied on the bank. So when you are in a financial emergency, choosing a payday loan can definitely be the right choice. God is Love

June 1st, 2008 by deliafarhan

By E. Raymond Rock A good friend of mine, a Methodist, asked his minister if people who didn’t believe in Jesus were destined for hell. The minister thought for a moment and said, “God is love.” This reply is a sign of the shifting landscape of spirituality. The original tenets of religion, that God, or the Ultimate, is ineffable, and that ego or self keeps us from this ineffable experience, has been replaced by man’s imagination and religious constructions, therefore prohibiting any chance of a tangible change to take place in our hearts. And the wars and killing continue. But a new conscious awareness is rising, returning us to our true spiritual roots. Successful spiritual institutions have always reflected their followers’ level of conscious awareness. This is so because spiritual institutions are not isolated. When they become isolated, the conservatism they hope will preserve them is exactly what destroys them. Followers seldom challenge their spiritual institutions when they intellectually outgrow them; they just walk away. As humanity evolves, and its level of understanding expands, the current institutions and their doctrines have no choice but to evolve as well. We are no longer ignorant people living in the dark ages. If institutions don’t adapt, they will be discredited and replaced by institutions that satisfy the hunger of an evolving consciousness. This has happened throughout history, and it’s happening now. This new consciousness is not a choice for people, or something to be stamped out; it is inevitable, unstoppable. Attempts to stifle it will be temporary at best and eventually unsuccessful. It will be wiser to simply adjust, because armed with this new consciousness, an individual’s religion will be thoroughly tested and investigated from a standpoint of free inquiry, no longer from a standpoint of blind belief and intimidation. The world is not becoming less religious; it is becoming truly religious. Truth, that enigmatic quality of lasting peace and security in our hearts, cannot be imparted from an outside source; it must be experienced. Spiritual institutions that dictate, and then expect us to follow blindly, will no longer be tolerated. Just as democratic societies love political freedom, those of the new consciousness will demand spiritual freedom as well, where each individual will discover his or her own truth inwardly without fearing the judgment of an outside, authoritarian power. If you look carefully, you can see this happening all around us. The old consciousness, which is a throwback to medieval belief systems handed down by authoritarian Gods, is giving way to new spiritual freedom. Controversies throughout the world reflect this change of behavior where ruthlessness is clashing with an arising sensitivity and intelligence. Falling in love with a religion, then defending it against all opposition is as illogical and emotional as a lover who instead of enjoying his new relationship, imagines dangerous rivals encircling his beloved, and falls into jealousy and protectionism, and effectively ruining all love. Fortunately, this form of lust is usually only a short-lived obsession for those with a developing new consciousness. Institutions, including spiritual ones, which adjust to the needs of this new, evolving consciousness of individuality and freedom, will thrive. Those dragging their feet and fighting it will not. This will not happen overnight. Many will continue to look upon all of this as blasphemy, but those who examine things carefully will see the implications clearly, and prepare themselves for the coming changes. Acceptance of this new reality is only beginning. The infighting and disagreements will be no different from clashes of cultures in the past, where new ideas are looked upon initially as so threatening that the messengers are shunned, sometimes killed. Eventually, new ideas ease their way into a society that can’t quite accept them, but are intrigued nevertheless and acknowledge the new ideas as cultural jokes. Finally, new concepts are accepted seriously when the culture reinvents them as their own original ideas to fit into their particular beliefs, as they must. This shift in consciousness is happening now. The human longing for creativity, historically reserved for the few artists, writers, and those of inspired occupations, is going mainstream. The need to be creative is overwhelming the need for pleasure and security. Artists think nothing of living in their cars while painting their masterpiece, writers hammering out pages in one-room apartments oblivious to worldly pursuits, while truly spiritual people are going deep inside, taking the time, the risk, and the sacrifices involved to understand themselves, to understand what Truth really means, to come face to face with the Ultimate, just as prophets throughout history had done. Why accept second hand spirituality from something read or heard? Material things so valued in the past will no longer weigh us down. A certain level of material comfort is always necessary, but now more importantly, we will demand our time to create. No longer will it be, “How much money can I make?” but rather, “How can I make ends meet while I support my passion?” Will society as we know it change? Yes. Will crime decrease? Of course. Will we be a stronger and happier society? Definitely. We see this happening in small ways already. What passion could be more creative than authentically finding out what the Ultimate, sometimes defined as God, really is for oneself, instead of being spoon-fed, and mislead about our deepest spiritual experiences by unenlightened, self-righteous sermonizers seeking power and wealth. Many ignore warnings that rich men have a better chance of passing through the eye of a needle than getting into heaven. The fact remains, however, that a rich man cannot relate to a poor man. He patronizes those less fortunate, but secretly, or even openly, fears them, seeing poverty as a threat, a reminder of what he could become because his values embrace only power and wealth. As a new consciousness evolves, however, we will become increasingly vulnerable and sensitive to the pain of those less fortunate, less intelligent, less endowed with creative energy. Those whose consciousness is slower in evolving will fight to maintain the status quo (to keep “economics” the real present day world religion), but nevertheless, a freedom from the mass hysteria that too often now represents our beliefs, will certainly evolve. Christ and the Buddha recognized the blinding influence of wealth and organized religion, and gave us examples to follow. They were literally beggars, turning their backs on the established religion of the day armed only with enlightened minds. Currently, how many are prepared to follow them, that is; become enlightened? Who welcomes financial hardship and psychological upheaval in exchange for a spiritual life that, as promised by these two unique men, holds out the real possibility of total inner freedom instead of guilt and fear? But because we lack faith, few have experienced an authentic spiritual life; we really don’t believe the teachings of the Buddha and Christ. They tried to tell us about spirituality, but we weren’t paying attention; we opted to take the easy way out - we built religions around these men instead of following their ways and finding true spirituality within ourselves - and we got what we deserved; a shallow understanding of spirituality. We don’t intuitively feel it. We prefer to noisily talk and think about it while going about the business of amassing fortunes and worldly relationships, instead of reaching in the silence toward that Ultimate experience, sometimes referred to as God. St. John of the Cross describes the risks of fame and fortune in his masterpiece; “The Ascent of Mount Carmel”: . . . “and the fourth degree of evil that comes from joy of worldly things is: And he departed from God, his salvation. This man has made money and things of the world his God, and David said, ‘Be thou not afraid when a man shall be made rich, for when he dieth, he shall carry nothing away, neither riches, nor joy, nor glory.” Clearly, we have refused to believe what was being taught, which is spiritual self-sufficiency through our own efforts. We refuse because it is more convenient to just believe. If we are born in India, we believe as a Hindu. In Thailand, as a Buddhist. In the US as a Christian. We believe what our parents taught us because putting forth the effort or time to see for ourselves, to challenge authority, requires courage and work we are too busy with everything except our spiritual roots. We talk the talk, but we don’t walk the walk, but this is all changing, and if you look closely, you can see the signs everywhere. The new consciousness is beginning and you can be a part of it. It is always your choice. E. Raymond Rock is cofounder and principal teacher at the Southwest Florida Insight Center in Fort Myers Florida. Look Before Leaping into Remarriage

May 29th, 2008 by deliafarhan

By Shirley Ann Parker Remarriage is always a highly emotional and sensitive scenario. This is true whether one or both of the engaged couple is previously widowed or divorced. However, divorce carries with it the additional fear that past mistakes will be repeated, or past abuse will be inflicted again. In one way, this kind of fear is actually well grounded, because people tend to marry the same kind of person the next time around. Something about the individuals personality is attractive. On the other hand, just as we wouldnt say that all white dogs are deaf, we shouldnt think that all introverts are frugal with money, or all happy-go-lucky people are irresponsible (just to give completely arbitrary examples). It follows that, since we cant generalize, marrying the same kind of person the second or third time, might just work out. Or not, of course. The game of love is anything but predictable, and has no guarantees. The biggest obstacles to happiness in remarriage are often the children from previous marriages or liaisons. Young children can greatly fear or resent having a new parent in the picture. Often this is expressed openly, making for volatile get-togethers. Additionally, the parent may secretly worry that her boyfriend, now becoming the stepfather to her child, will actually molest the girl. Successfully blended, loving families have worked very hard to get along in their new relationships with each other. Yet The Brady Bunch is pretty much a myth in todays society. For one thing, the questions of respect and discipline have to be resolved upfront, so that abuse does not happen, from any quarter. Frequently, the biological parent dumps that responsibility on the new spouse, instead of sharing the load. Older children can be equally resentful of a remarriage. They often see every prospective stepparent as a person who will take their rightful inheritance away from them. While it may come as a shock, the truth is that no one has the moral right to anything their parents have worked hard to obtain, or have received as a windfall. Assuming the parents are not suffering from dementia at the time, it is their decision to leave something for each child in their Will, or to write a lazy, disrespectful, spiteful, or gold-digging child out of the same document. Another major obstacle to achieving success in a second marriage is the spouse who constantly compares the second wife or husband to the first. It is unkind and selfish to do that. The road leads to divorce again, or to long lasting strain that will undermine any solidarity that might have been reached without such verbal, and often sexual, abuse. Five years of hearing a husband complain that his ex was much better in bed will, at best, get a husband nothing but icy treatment in return. It generally takes far less than six months for a second wife to figure out why her husbands first marriage failed or actually ended in disaster. Look before you leap is sound advice in any situation, but especially when remarriage is on the horizon. 2006 Shirley Ann Parker Shirley Ann Parker is the author of Discoveries: A Journey Through Life, an engaging collection of short stories about the joys and frustrations of family life and friendships. How to Help A Relationship Develop

May 17th, 2008 by deliafarhan

By Alisa Chagnon Some men go through three main phases before entering into a serious relationship. The first phase is infatuation, this being the time when the man is enthralled at the idea of finding a woman and is in a state of bliss at the prospect of spending time together. The second phase involves his thought process in which he is deciding whether he is truly ready for a serious relationship. This phase can prove to be most perplexing and misinterpreted if a woman does not understand the complexity of this phase. If a woman can understand phase two, she can then take steps, allowing the relationship to transgress naturally into phase three. Phase three, of course, is a strong, solid and committed relationship. When the thrill of meeting someone new is dwindling and it appears that it is time to take a step in the direction of a more serious relationship, some men panic. Although they may desire a secure, safe and loving relationship, at some point a man can begin to display puzzling behavior.. If a woman is in a relationship and the man is in this phase, it is extremely important to be aware of the warning signs and then learn what can be done to aid in his comfort of accepting a serious, committed relationship. In phase two, a man is weighing his options. He is questioning his ability to hold his end in a relationship, his capability of keeping a woman happy, and his desire or lack thereof for a committed relationship. A man requires some space while he is deciding and if not given this, he can easily be scared off. If a woman is yearning to move forward, it is important to take measures so the man does not feel suffocated. A man will appear to be backing off a bit and a woman can misinterpret this incorrectly, causing more problems. The main sign that a man is in this phase is rather clear. He is keeping more distance in the relationship. He may call you several hours late. He may not be at his home when he said he would be. He may be vague when questioned. Arguments may result as a woman is feeling rejected and the man is feeling pressured.. The most common mistake that a woman may make is asking a man too many questions. When a man appears to be backing away, if he does not talk as much as before and does not want to spend as much time together, a woman will begin to question him. The majority of women assume that he has become uninterested or that he is perhaps seeing another woman. The woman will then begin to question the mans every move. When persistently questioned, a man may take a defensive position. While it is understood that a woman has a natural curiosity to know what her partner is doing, if she barrages him with questions, it does nothing to remedy the situation. The man will feel there are too many demands on him and it will in turn increase his fear of commitment. Take for example; if the man does not arrive immediately home from work, he is perhaps one or two hours late. The woman will begin to ask questions, such as , Where were you?, Why didnt you call me?, and What exactly were you doing? While in his state of needing space, the man will inevitably begin to resent the questioning and may not answer honestly. He will feel that the woman is overbearing and overpowering him with a barrage of questions. When inundated with questions, the man may then keep adding on false statements in a way to deflect his feeling that the woman is controlling. In many cases, this will lead to an argument. The man is upset that he of being questioned; the woman is upset that the man is not answering as she wishes. This can be avoided, if a woman realizes that if she asks a man a question that he does not wish to answer, asking again will not produce any satisfactory results. If a man chooses to keep some space, no amount of questioning will force him to answer as a woman desires. If a woman requests the man to have a perfectly logical and satisfactory answer, she may question him repeatedly attempting to make the man give what she perceives as the correct answer. He never will. If he is feeling pressured, and wishes to hide some of his activities, he will do it. A woman should realize that she cannot change a man and his decision to enter into a serious relationship is one he must make on his own. A woman should not be inquisitive about a mans every move. If the woman uses sound judgment and only asks important, relevant questions, she can help defuse the mans feeling of pressure. Once the man feels he has freedom, he will feel free to choose to enter into a relationship. A man will most probably not enter into a relationship with a woman that he perceives will be continuously questioning his every move and appearing to force a relationship. It is not suggested that a woman ought to remain in a situation in which she is receiving mistreatment. A man should show caring, kindness and compassion. If the man is displaying quality signs of an excellent companion and the woman simply gives him some freedom, the result may be a fantastic committed relationship. Free Ringtones For Your Cell Phone? You Better Read the Fine Print

May 14th, 2008 by deliafarhan

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Kurt_Howard]Kurt Howard With the high demand for ringtones these days there are many companies and websites offering free ringtones. Many people blindly go to these offers, enter their information and download their favorite ringtone. However, later they discover that these so-called free ringtones are far from free. Many of these offers come with fine print that is often never read. It is only when the bill comes that people start to wonder what that fine print really said. Recently I received an offer for a free ringtone. It was from a company that has been offering free ringtones for quite awhile. When you get to their site you are asked to enter you cell phone number, choose your free ringtone and enter your zodiac sign. It looks like a great deal to most people. However, if you scroll to the bottom of the screen and read their terms and conditions you will soon realized it is not such a great deal after all. Once you submit you cell phone number to get your free ringtone you will be subscribed to their service. The cost of this service is $9.99 per month for the ringtones and $6.99 per month for their horoscope package. All in all, that free ringtone will end up costing you $16.98! Not such a great deal after all. This is not the only company running this kind of smoke screen offer. There are many more and some charge even higher monthly prices.
